Are you a Grossenbacher?
My name is Larry Grossenbacher and many years ago I toyed with the idea of buying grossenbacher.com
Well, I didn't and now it is owned by some company that is one of those search engines... and they won't entertain bids lower than $10,000.
Now I found grossenbacher.me and I picked it up....
Why?? Well, I wanted a site that i could have personallized for me and also any other Grossenbacher out there who wanted their own personalized web space and email.
The concept is simple. Using subdomains (a word that goes in place of the "www" in the address) I can create a custom address for you based on your name.
So for me, for example, my site is larry.grossenbacher.me and my email is larry@grossenbacher.me (you would replace "larry" with your name).
You can do whatever you want with your site, blogs, photos, forward it to your facebook account... whatever. I am not looking to get rich off this idea, I just ask that if you have interest, I will facilitate you getting your site and email and in return I ask that you just help me with the cost I put out. Something fair, and very affordable. I'd say from $12 to $36 USD per year (that's only $1 - 3/month) and that gets you your web site address, ftp account and your email address set up. The rest is up to you.
